I have heard rumors that some of the Evans harnesses are not wired correctly, but I had no issues with mine.
I haven't heard of any that were wired incorrectly, but I have heard of harnesses with loose connectors, faulty crimps.

....Yeah, I got one of those "loose connectors harness" from them, actually 5 of the crimps were loose. He sent me a new one but said I was the only one that got a bad one,,,LOL. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beer.gif)

Jim, I am all for helping out the little guy, but I would suggest that no matter who you get the harness from, you should do a simple pull test on all connections to test for a secure crimp. I would rather pull off a connector than deal with a fire or other heat related damage caused by a loose connection.
A friend of mine just bought a harness for a '71 Callenger. Looking at the harness, though nice, I found 3-4 wires not totally secured in the perspective places.

my A12 engine wiring harness was from bill & rose evans. it was the blue J2 w/white tracer wire in the bulkhead on engine side to the ballast resistor and voltage regulator. it wasnt crimped and gave me fits for a whole weekend till VCODE came over and straightened it out.hes a electrical genius. ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bow.gif) i notified evans and said send it back, he'll fix it. i thought the proper thing would be to send me a new one 1st and then return the defective one. also the wiring harness doesnt correct correct like the Badalson one or yearone. So id pass on the evans wiring harness, yearone has no hassle return policy also and a correct looking harness.

I bought the M&H ones from YO and they were all pretty nice. Haven't seen any issues but haven't put the car back together either.
