Can anyone help me out with what I would need to swap a 440 into my 74 Trailduster? It is in stock original condition currently with a 360 auto.

I have a 440 and a big block 727 out of a 68 Plymouth wagon.

Advice on what I would need to make it happen?.

Any leads on parts/parts sources would be appreciated.

Water-pump, motor mounts, oil pan and pick-up, exhaust manifolds, linkages for a start.

If the Trailduster is a 4x4, you will need to swap the output shaft from your small block 727 into the big block 727.

I believe you also need to add some extra length to a few wires to reach stuff on the big block. Gene

2wd or 4wd? Make a difference on the mounts.
Saw your want ad. Your asking for 75 and up mounts so I'm guessing 4wd?

Yes it is a 4x4. It is a 74 Trailduster too. Seems that it would have specific motor mounts for a 4x4 for that year.

The mounts all revolve around weather it has a married or divorce transfer case.

Ok so you have a 74 but your wanting the 75 and up mounts? Is your transfer case married or divorced? 74 should be divorced.
I probably have mounts, water pump housing and the oil pan. Just need to know which mounts you need.

im no expert, but i dont think the trailduster or ramcharger ever had divorced transfer case, even first year production

Good point. Wonder if a 74 Ramcharger would have the 203 or 205 transfer case? Never paid attention to that as my focus is usually on the half doors on the 74s. BTW, you'll need the smaller diameter brake booster too.

Ya I don't know about the Ranchargers. Have had a gazillion trunks and no Ranchargers.
You can use the larger booster with the BB. At lease I did.

The truck is bone stock 1974 Trailduster. It has the NP 203 full time drive setup with a column shift 727A tied to a 360. I asked about the '75 mounts because while researching this swap, I saw that those were brought up on a couple threads....
