Hey guys, glad to see everyone is moving forward & keeping the candles lit for racing. Slowly making some progress on the Daytona again. Got the Indy -1 heads ported over the winter, they look great thanks to Tim Bowser. He does this on the side & is reasonable in his pricing. All are done by hand still in his part. Got the car up & running, sounds good. Hoping to get to Quaker on August the 23rd to finally make a pass in the car.
Been a long few years in the making, maybe I finally got it right here.
Thanks, Ken Michalik

Patiently waiting to see this car hit the track again. Goodluck and have fun. Our Night Of Fire Race is at Keystone that day or I would have raced there to see it.

Ken,
Good to see you are getting close.
What is the engine combo? How much power are you estimating?

I bought a Daytona this spring, built a PG for it, and put a mild iron head 496 engine in it (570 hp). 4.56 gears and 33x15-15 slicks.

Not exactly sure power wise. It’s a low deck Muscle Motor 474 bottom end. Around 13 to 1 compression
The Indy -1 heads are nicely ported w/.636 Lunati solid roller. Rossler Turbo 400 4.30 gears s
Should weigh in around 2600#. So I’m definitely hoping mid 9’s or a little better
Thanks, Ken
