Check the tires for roundness. We see more and more tires that are shaped like an egg. And they will balance to all zeros, but at certain speeds will shake a lot. I have a pair of MT DRs that are about as bad as I have seen. They are even worse than the ones they replaced. At 70MPH, they are down right uncomfortable.

Also check the axle flanges for true.

I love my 518 in my Rampage.. have a 416ci in it with 4:10 gears
and 4000 stall.. I dont run a lock up just the OD so at 70mph going
down the E-way I cruise at 2900 rpm.. without the OD I dont know
what it would be cruising at
wave

There are balancing machines that will measure road force variance , find a shop that has one and let them measure your tires.

The formula to get this is 1 ÷ your OD ratio X current RPM.
1 ÷ .69 = 1.45 X 2,900 = 4,200 RPM

I have had tires 'road force balanced'. But when tires are not round, the only thing that will address it is 'shaving'. But it is expensive and often hard to come by. There is not a tire shaver within 100 miles of us.
