Just received my ported heads back and I am wondering what everyone does for intake gaskets? Do you use all 4 (2 on each side sandwiching the valley pan) or use only 1 on the aluminum head side or none at all? Seems to me it would take away the benefits of porting if the gaskets don’t line up perfectly when they are bolted down.

Usually an aftermarket pan would be used, but when using a stock pan with aluminum heads you would use paper on both sides, and trim as needed...including the tin.

Depends on which heads you have and how much was ported. I use the batwings with thin paper gaskets for heads that are fully ported since the port size is larger than the port in the tin gasket.
