Yes. The early 64-65 race hemis had that rod. The 1.03 pin didn't begin until the street Hemi in 66.

Hello!
I was wondering if such a rod was ever manufactured by Ma Mopar:
a 6.86" length HEMI rod
with a small end for a 1,09" wrist pin.
NASCAR rod maybe??? Yes, very early 426 Hemi, pressed pin.

NASCAR rod maybe??? Yes, very early 426 Hemi, pressed pin. GOTCHA. So I guess if you just take some 66-71 street hemi rods and drive out the bronze bushings and resize the small end to press fit a 1.09 wrist pin, you would basically have a 64/65 HEMI rod? Sre they the same forging? Or are the press fit rods any beefier on the small end?

I can't imagine why anybody would do such a thing. I have seen the old press fit rods but I didn't pay any attention to them. Whatever you're thinking, forget about it. Floating in bronze is better than pressed in steel.

The 1964 rod had a foot width of 3.72 inch if you have a street rod to compare with. I-section was 0.35 sq inch, max rpm 7000.
