I've still not seen anything that tells me exactly what would be needed from anyone who has done this swap. I have couple of 2010's and one might be candidate for 6.4 if I can figure out exactly what is needed. I know MP has the kit with harness for older Mopars. From my reading, the 5.7 harness will not work. My biggest concern is getting the brains to work and fire. I wish I could find someone who has done it already! https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mopar-6-4L-HEMI-392-Crate-Engine-68303090AA/223484593115?There was a company in South Florida that did this swap, so I've been told, but they are out of business now. Would have been nice because I'm in Florida. Thanks for any answers. Edit: I'm reading through the sticky now on everything to do and not do, hoping something there. Also, would strongly consider a 6.1 swap too if that were considerably more feasible. Looking to get more cubes, no MDS, and not do a rebuild but have an all new crate engine. Lastly, if anyone knows of a super reputable company in the southeast, I'd consider shipping car to and from. Thanks and PM me if you do. Larry

On an 09 or 10 they bolt right in if you use the 5.7s original intake, The confuser will run it just fine, a tune makes it even more better. With the SRT 6.4 intake you might have to extend a few wires but thats about it. The 08 and older does not have wiring or confuser control for the VVT so you will need to lock it down, let it go on it's own(supposedly just retards cam timing a little as RPM goes up and that may or may not be a good thing) or add the wiring and get a confuser that knows how to control it, then you will need a scanner that can wright the cars VIN in the computer, I use an autel scanner for that.

Thanks for the replies. I will try these two companies linked. I hate to think of the shipping costs though, two ways. And then, if there's a warranty issue with the labor. Wish there was a company in Southeast that's done this swap.
And yes, the programming of VIN and mating engine always concerns me. I know there's bound to be glitches with anything electronic with a "brain". The Mopar "kit" seems so aimed at pre'75 vehicles.

I've GOT to find someone who has done this swap.
So much available on upgrading suspension, etc. So I know about those necessities.

unless you get a heck of a deal on the 6.4 a power adder for the 5.7 looks to be comparable money and easier?

This is not rocket science, the 6.4 SRT bolts right in to a 9 or 10 and is not much harder in an 06-08, no suspension or brakes or anything HAS to be changed. The BGE is a little more complicated but not impossible as it has all the same motor mounts and such but you do have to switch the oil pan, pickup tube, exhaust manifolds, intake manifold and a few other things but it is not a hard job either and again the computer will run it but to get the most out of it you will need a custom tune. I buy 6 cyl LX cars and swap in different hemis and even those are not very complicated.

I have done three crate engine swaps on older vehicles (paid someone to do). Not having the facilities, tools, or enough know how to complete myself, I don't want to build a short block. Choosing parts and matching the best components is not my forte. It's always worked best for me to bring my mechanic a crate engine that the engineers have designed with all their resources. All I'm responsible for are the necessary peripherals.
I assume these 6.4's are pulled right off assembly line. "A man's got to know his limitations".

my 2013 donor car had electric steering but it bolted into my 2010 just fine, we just had to swap a couple pulleys.

From what I’ve been able to put together (for 08 and down) you lock the cam out, put in all the 5.7 sensors, change the tone wheel to the 5.7 piece, get a tune that’ll keep the 6.4 happy and send it. we did a 6.4 swap to my kids 08 2500 , WO23 nailed it ...the front cover can be abit of an issue due to accessories mounting locations....tune takes abit to get right .
