I would not abolish the tree, change it yes.
That's all we need is an arm dropin fool on top
of a box getting mowed down by a fuel car.

I meant abolish the countdown function of the tree, run 'em all heads up like the pro categories.

And a 3200# street car on a true 10.5 tire should be allowed to have notched/altered rear frame rails. Did you hear that Norwalk??!!

In top fuel, front engine cars get weight break, unlimited hp, unlimited tire. I'm sure there are 16 other people as crazy as me that would love to drive one.

Sounds a lot like a weekend at Lions back in the good old days; I'm so fortunate to have been there. Sadly a lot of guys got hurt or killed, and that's not fun to watch or be a part of.
The Nostalgia Drags around the country have a lot of the stuff you're mentioning, and I prefer to run at those events. I don't see myself getting involved in the NHRA class structure, as I'd rather be around good, well-constructed "old" cars. A movement back towards stock-appearing bodies should help the automakers. Big money seems to ruin everything and it runs off the "little guy", but that happens when things turn "professional". Stock, SS, MP, PS, injected dragsters, Fuel Altered, FC & TF oughta do it for pretty much anybody - oh, and the Gassers, too. One of the problems is ET; a lot of guys want contemporary ETs, which works against the old-style atmosphere. The problem is "progress", so you may have to limit ET or speed, which would be difficult to pull off. One last thought is that I hate throttle stops & delay boxes and all that; but to some guys it's intriguing.

I would like to see an all out, no limits (save things that endanger fans) class for what ever, powered by what ever. No weight limits, no safety limits, just whatever someone is willing to strap themselves to and blast off. Just keep lots of big black blankets in the safety safari to cover the bodies.

Top fuelers and funny cars must blatantly display the origin of their power plant on the side of the car-- or face a $50,000 dollar penalty.

No more lies.

Yes and tell Bob Tasca dont brag about his great Ford Mustang and not tell all it has a Hemi in it !

I love that idea as all I like to see anymore is NSS and the FAST and Pure Stock cars. In fact the only Pro class I watch on TV anymore is Pro Stock and it's getting harder to tell what kind of car they are anymore. Ron
