Technically, the Predator heads use a Hemi block....

I don't know anything about a wedge but the 572-13 heads also use a hemi block. And I figured the best B-1's would too, but I don't know anything about such things. I assume a max performance wedge head should use a hemi block. It lets you put the ports where you want them.

Yes, you need to tap the top row of head stud bosses, probably a 5/8x18 plug, and then redrill and tap the top row for the wedge pattern. They will overlap slightly at the top but will drill into virgin block material within 1/2" because of the taper on the hemi stud boss. There will be some mis-match on water passages if using stock 440 heads, which can be brazed up. Oil drainback on the hemi block will also need to be blocked.. Most aftermarket heads are profiled the same as hemi block and should cover the oil drainback. I think you would need an external drain line from head to block on a B-1 head but not positive. Can't think of any other issues, but definitely can be done with a good machinest.

Yes it can be done. There's an old thread on here somewhere on how to do it. I think Petty did it back in the day too. Last fall when Jegs had hemi blocks listed I ordered one to do this exact thing. The Jegs block never came through so........

edit found it,

This is what I was told by Koffels.. I have a KB block that I plan to convert to wedge heads so I called them..
