Have a set of older w2s that I had a local shop working on. I have no history on the head. They are ported fairly good. Pressure test good. They started putting 11/32 gides in for me and got scared off. Looks to be a 1" od. guide started pushing out of the head. Have you ever seen any thing like this?

That's just the exhaust. If they are worried they can drive the guide in from the rocker side rather than the chamber side.

No big deal.

It seems I read something in a mopar tech book those guides seal to water. I would think your machine shop could bore your existing guide and repair it with out removing it.

I’d just install 1/2” guides inside the existing guide.

I agree, just drill and ream them to .50 and install a bronze guide. Any good machine shop could do that for you.
