I seem to recall a special edition Dodge Ram for the Super Bowl champion St Louis Rams. Was I dreaming that or was that a real deal?

If there was it was probably a local dealer special thing.

Are you maybe talking about the LA Rams from 1979? there were a handfull of brown over tan ramchargers made for 79 that had a big ram on their sides. I do recall seeing them all over.

No, these were 98 or 99 Rams, after they won the Superbowl in St Louis. They were blue and white and yellow as I recall, there was even one in my town here for a long time but now that I need a picture of one I can't find it. LOL

Yes there was.

I can't remember for sure if we did them in the plant or not, I thought we did at least the base two tone paint work.

I tried to find a pic of one of the trucks online, but so far no luck.

IIRC, they looked like the one on this sweatshirt.

I'll ask some buddies that worked in the paint department and see what the have to say about them.

It was actually Scott Sieveking (the guy that used to run Monster Mopar) that did these sweatshirts and he sold them in the plants (I was one of the guys that sold them for him).

I've still got one of the sweatshirts packed away in a box in the basement.

That's the paint scheme I remember but I think the one I saw was a short bed 2wd, but that is the paint scheme. Cant believe there are no pix online somewhere. Btw, I know Scott, took home a lot of his money at MMW Lol. I have probably met you if you sold shirts at the track as well.

I think all the trucks were short bed std cabs IIRC.

On of the women that worked in the plant bought one and really loved it.
Pretty sure I heard she passed away several years back from cancer (heavy smoker).

As far as selling the shirts I did it in the plant, not at the track.
Scot worked in the Minivan Plant and I worked in the Ram Truck plant and he wanted to someone to sell them in our plant. Several people actually sold them in our plant.

Scott was always hustling a buck somehow, whether it was selling the shirt or snacks or soda in the plant. laugh2

I need to ask Bob Chaney what he remembers about the trucks.
He worked as a GSO (Clean up) in the paint dept.
I should see him Wednesday night at the weekly guys hang out night, supposed to be at his house this week.

I bought one of those sweatshirts at Monster Mopar and still have it! I do recall seeing one of those trucks, and probably took a pic of it, but it would have been on my Sony Mavica camera and on a 3-1/2" floppy, remember them? laugh2 I do have over 200 discs, they hold 24 pics per disc. I really need to transfer those pictures to hard drive... realcrazy

Haha, sounds like Scott, he was always asking me about what I was doing for my retirement preparation. I know Bob too, havent seen him in years though. Small world.

I own the truck you are talking about. Mine is a 96'. It is exactly like the shirt and has st. Louis rams embroidered on my seats and floor boards. Trying to figure out how to post the pic.

If you have the pic you want to post on your computer: "Reply", at the bottom of the page (in small print) click on "Attachment Manager," double click on the pic on your computer, "Done."
I always put the pic I want to attach on my desk top. That makes it easy for me...

I still see one around St. Louis from time to time...the guy lives/lived on Telegraph Rd in Arnold, MO. I've also got a poster with a Ram's edition Ram and some St. Louis Rams football players somewhere around the house. Was never a fan of the paint scheme on the truck, so never hung it up. shruggy
