I know this is probably going to sound silly....

Is there a difference between the driver and passenger side tracks on 68-70? While I am at it, are there a difference in the seat frames from side to side as well?

THANKS!

1970 seats are different than '69 back.

1970 B body seat tracks are one model year only.

So.......

What do you have?

Obviously the tracks are different side to side - the adjuster handles are on the outside.

Likewise the seat frames are different side to side - the back release is also on the outside.

Thanks for the replies

I was having a brain fart !! Up to late and too many hours working on it today hahahaha

Its a 1968

The reason I was getting frustrated, when I bolt the tracks to the seats, the outside tracks with the adjustment knob, are "leaning in" if that makes any sense. When I go to set the tracks into the floor holes, the outside tracks are off by 1" Like they need to be pulled out at the bottom.

To add insult to injury....these seats were pulled from a wreck in 1999. I had them stripped down, sandblasted, powder coated, then all new foam backing and covers.....and neither seat has a back release on either seat!

The "leaning" is somewhat natural. There is some play in the bearing tracks. I've always set the seat in "close" leaning against the back seat or floor and then roll the seat forward to line up the rear holes then continue rolling it forward to line up the fronts. Bingo !!
