What the consensus on these rocker arm kits that Mancini sells: https://www.manciniracing.com/b16alrowibih.htmlThey are made by Harland Sharp for Mancini and cost $512 for the kit. fast69plymouth said in a previous thread that they are close in length to the $908 set that Harland Sharp makes for use with Edelbrock (and Trickflow, Sidwinder, Promaxx) heads. The mancini rockers do not come with the HS hardened shafts (the ones with the screw in plugs on the end) - they come with a set what looks like to me the Mancini Chromed shafts - definately not the HS shafts - overall the entire kit form mancini is a nice budget rocker for a solid tappet cam

Yeah... 12 years ago. Guess I'll have to 'em to get current info. Thanks. Please post the current price (price seems to be per shaft? banana grooved?) when you get the info from them. Thanks

The 383/400/440 shafts are not banana grooved........ Only basic holes drilled w/o any elongated channels for distributing the oil to the high-load areas?

I know Harland Sharp shafts are beefy like the old RAS shafts. However, their oiling holes are drilled differently, so I don't know if that would cause problems w/ oiling at the bottom of the rockers, or if adding grooves would do the trick.
Re Harland Sharp shafts... I haven't had a set in my hands for years. Are their shafts drilled from both the top & bottom, or only the bottom? I can't find any pics that show both sides to be sure. Thx

Brad, I am currently working out the final rocker arm stage w/Hughes 1.5 cryo treated kit for Victors. They have banana grooved, .190" shafts. I recently purchased these, new, and worked w/ Mike at B3 for geometry correction.Nice and intelligent guy to work with. Very helpful. He had good things to say about the quality of the Hughes shafts, and his work appears spot-on. Hughes website has alot of good information about this, including testimonials from users, one claiming using valvesprings 330#/725# ratings at 7500rpm. $135 pair. I am using them myself w/285#/670# springs w/.690" roller, also looking at 7500max .Hope this helps. Bill

The good news is I own the best rocker shafts on the planet... Funny, 'cuz I thought that title belonged to the original RAS shafts. They were about $100 each, IIRC; I still have the same pair I've been reusing on a number of builds, but nothing lasts forever. And that's why I started this thread.

Why isn't chrome cheap? It kills baby seals. Have everything chromed in Mexico, where the shop is owned by the Mayor, and the plating drain goes right into the public water system.
