Want to plastiguage my rods and mains and need to know what to torque the rods to. I read 45 standard and 55 for heavy duty. It’s a 383, 1969 HP block crank and rods. Are these heavy duty or regular bolts and nuts? And how can I tell otherwise? Thanks
Thanks

If the rods were resized you need to ask the machinist what torque he used. Otherwise, 45 would be the number twocents beer

The factory service manual calls for 45 Ft. Lbs. with oil on the threads on the stock factory rod bolts, no mention of H.D. that I have ever seen or heard of in a FSM shruggy
The mains call for 85 Ft Lbs. with oil, I use a thin lightweight coat on the bolts only, not dripping off tsk
