Yes but it was the Wednesday night T & T. Ron

Its about a 45 mile drive to Cecil as it takes about an hr cruising at 60 mph. The best part is my brother lives about 5 miles from Cecil so if I would break I could have it towed right to his house and fix it there. He has plenty of garage space. Ron

Thanks to everyone for the kind replies. I know its not the fastest car for sure but it works great for me as it has not broke anything since putting the 493 in the car 8 years ago in 2011 and all I have to do is change the oil a few times a year and adjust the valves once a year. And I check the plugs once a year so with my health issue's that slow me down a lot its a nice simple to maintain car that runs good enough for me to enter some NSS races every now and then when I am up to it and can afford to go racing. I drive it most of the time on the street to local car shows and cruises but I love drag racing it the most by far and wish I could go more and get after the car some more. Ron

MAN! are those Hoosier brand call outs HUUUUgggge. My Hoosiers aren't that big. Are those QTP's?

You should rewrite on your tires "HOOSIER DADDY" That car rocks. Fast street cars is where it's at.

Those aren't DOT-legal, they're full 30" x 9" radial slicks like Stock Eliminator cars run. How Ron gets away with driving around on the street with those is surprising. Where he lives in MD must be pretty lax on enforcement of that kind of stuff.

That's what I thought, that they may be full fledge slicks. I used to drive around the same way back in the day/nights with a 9" inch. They don't look much when the tire is tucked inside as with a 9".
Nowwa- days, I will be driving around with Pro-Trac Real DOT's. Fair weather game I guess.

Yes they are Hoosier radial slicks that are 30 x 9. I would run drag radials but no one makes them in that size and I like the 30" tall tire. I also like the 9" wide as they fit great in my stock wheelwells and don't rub on any turns. I have been driving on these radial slicks since I put this eng in 8 years ago. Twice Police came up to me and both times they just talked about how they liked my car. One used to race and he even said to me when I was leaving the Farm Store I stopped at to be careful driving on them. They actually handle nice on the street since I run radials up front. I love having radials on all 4 corners of my car because it drives so nice on them. I have even been caught in the rain twice on them and just drove home nice and easy with no problems. Ron

Those radials are giving you an extra mile per hour or so compared to a Bias tire. With your cars weight as a plus, I can see why the radials work well on the launch. You don't need much squat and wrinkle as it seems.
Keep the formula as it is.

Great job, Ron!

The average person doesn't realize how hard it is to get a full weight, stock suspension, full interiored car into the 10's and still have it daily driver reliable. You've done a great job!

We ran 10.71 @ 128 mph Friday night with our similar combo albeit with some chemical enhancement. Still picking away, though...
