Well we took her car out last weekend. I raced it Saturday to make sure it was safe. We struggled through rain delays but I managed to make 3 good shake down passes. So I turned her loose in it Sunday. We had to race in pro because the car had already proven to be too fast for Sportsman until I can get a restrictor plate for it. This was her first burnout in anything and first pass ever! She went 7.10 at 96 mph in the 1/8! So she got 1 more time hit and went 7.04. 1st round comes around and we stick a dial on her car. She is leaving 2nd so I remind her a few times to be patient and wait for her 3rd amber and not get anxious when the other car leaves. She was a bit tardy and ended up braking out trying to get there. I’d say the car is a bit lean because the weather went up and she went 6.99 at 97 mph! She is hooked like a junkie now and wants to race every weekend...lol

AWESOME !!!
My wife drove our first race car 99.9 % of the time because she was a pure lumberjack on the tree.
So I say this with utter conviction..........when your wife feels the thrill of putting some Dude on the trailer , she is going to be hooked.
We knew a lot of the guys , so it wasn't a really huge thing.
But there were a couple that she would try to get staged next to because she knew it drove them out of their minds.

Congratations to you both. Thats totally awesome. Many memories and fun to create and enjoy. My wife cant race because the adrenaline is not good for her heart issues, but she does go with me and support me at the track when i go , which is just as fun. She will surpass that 100 mph mark in no time, unless you want to slow it down. She looks like a natural.

Very nice can't believe you got the car ready so soon. You've been working hard on it. What track were you at?

Thanks Guys! Yes we were at Walla Walla Dragstrip. I pretty proud of her, the car is a bit faster than I planned!

The couple who race together and have fun have it MADE up grin
Congrats to both of you bow
My wife would drive my old M.W. stocker in the 1/8 mile but absolutely refused to drive it in the 1/4 mile, her reason was it was to fast in the 1/4 mile confused
It ran 7.25 at 95 MPH in the 1/8 and a little above 115.MPH in the 1/4 in the high 11s shruggy No matter what I said she would not even think of driving that car in 1/4 shruggy
This was in the early 1970s when the tracks still had powder puff races, she won several of them but it wasn't enough to get her on fire, maybe that was for the better for me grin whistling
