moparx "Butt Crack Bob" Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 19,396 north of coder	i measured it as 4 1/4", but that was using the method of including the outermost lip of the wheel the weight[s] clamp on. i defer to the good doctor. if he says 4", then 4" it is.

fullmetaljacket OP master F Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 6,849	I conclude it to be so. A friend did indicate that they were 4.5 as I thought to remember, but I guess it is 4" I'll double check since I am on the market for a pair for my REAL street tires. L60 Pro-Tracs that is.

The ones I have here are 4.25" It depends on where you're measuring. From the axle mounting flange to the very outer lip of the wheel is 4.25 inches. If you measure to outside the bead seat area it's 4 inches. (the lip sticks out 1/4 inch). Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

moparx "Butt Crack Bob" Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 19,396 north of coder	i believe the real reason there is confusion, is different wheel manufacturers either measure to the bead seat[which i personally believe to be the correct way, as that positions the tire], while others measure to the outermost portion of the wheel lip. as all lips are not created equal [take that comment however you want ! ] this would account on discrepancies in backspace dimensions. with that being said, ramcharger wheels are either 4" or 4 1/4" backspace. your choice.

My son worked at a Rim Place that rebuilt wheels. They put new centers on or new hoops whatever is needed. Also has a CNC Lathe to resurface Aluminum. He checked them for being straight and what not. Blasted and Re-Painted. They said they were 4.25" Backspace to the Lips. That is how I have done them too.
