Anyone know if these will fit in a 69 coronet without cutting the inner fender / shock mount?

Thanks
Craig

I'll give this a bump out of curiosity, I've been looking at those also for an A body application...not trying to hijack, just wondering what they might fit?

Just looking, and seeing that they dump towards the radiator, there's probably some clearance issues with the alternator, PS, shroud, water pump. Someone on this site has a green 63-65 bomber that is a SB turbo but not with this unit. Hopefully he will comment.

Where are these from? A measurement from the flange at the head out to the outside of the tube would be a good start in seeing if they fit.

Magnum engine manifolds work on an A-body when swapped side/side (down and forward exit). Thats what I did. I did have to change the stock manual steering coupler to a u-joint style but that's a simple fix.

Iron manifolds have been used many times on LSX turbos over 1,000 hp.
IMHO unless it's really important, and you understand and accept the bad things about tube headers (will only last 1-2 years, huge increase in underhood temperature, loses much heat energy that the turbine will never see, slower to spool up) in exchange for better exhaust flow.
I had the factory iron manifolds on my Toyota turbo to 520 hp (very common), using a SPA (Brazil?) aftermarket cast iron manifold with Swain coating for the new 700 hp engine this year.

Understood, but neither of mine got over 600 whp.

I am not familiar with LA exhaust manifolds, but am open to trying some if they will fit facing forward...

The 1994 and up magnum truck manifolds flip with manual steering pretty easy. Put the driver manifold on the passenger side, and vice versa... that will face them forward. They are cheap and readily available.

I can't say how much max power they will support, but mine based on weight/ET/MPH makes around 840hp or so with them. (3740lbs@142mph on 23psi) That's on a 360", that never turns over 6300rpm.

I've seen those ebay "turbo headers" around for a while now, but have yet to see them put on an actual car. They seem to leave a lot to be desired...

down and forward magnums. no good pictures of the hotside installed but its pretty straight forward. no cutting/hammering other than the steering coupler and a remote oil filter. 78/75 T4 turbo with 3" downpipe. its plenty for my cruiser without a cage.

Perfect... That looks like exactly what I need.

Thanks
Craig

So instead of buying a set of nice new manifolds for my 318 for $160, I bought a complete 5.9 magnum for $250 with some really rusty manifolds already attached... shake_head

After fighting with 4 broken studs, I got the manifolds switched. The passenger side looks like it will work great. The drivers side interferes with the Ram power steering pump.

Cutting off the air injection casting and grinding down the manifold helps some, but not enough.

Unlikely that anyone else has done this before, but I was wondering if this bracket & pump from a 98 Grand Cherokee with a 5.9 will clear the reversed manifold on the drivers side. It uses the smaller "Type 2" pump and moves the power steering pump much closer to the center of the engine.
