hi running FAST class 69 charger 426/499 hemi F78/15 tire. manual valve body, to much tire spin 1/2 shift. if I put the accumulator spring back in will it cushion the shift?? gary

Yes. Changing the lever ratio and/or the spring load in the servo will as well. Changing those may also effect the 2/3 shift though.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

The outer accumulator spring has NOTHING to do with cushioning the 1-2 shift but it's a good idea to have it for other reasons.

HI I am referring to the spring that you normally remove and replace with a blocker rod when you install a manual valvebody, I thought the stock spring was for cushioning the shift

Yes, that is the outer accumulator spring and it only cushions the application of the rear clutch, has nothing to do with the 1-2 shift....oldest myth in the Mopar world.
