Just got this in a big batch of parts and trying to figure out what it fits. The guy thought like 75 Fury or something, does that make sense? It's a crank one so don't think it is much earlier than that but not sure.

Back around 1978, I bought a '73 Roadrunner from the orig owner & it was a crank sunroof. My 72 Cuda is power.

I cut this one off of a 75 Cordoba - looks pretty close to me. As for installing on it something else, ya need the panel that attaches to the bottom of the roof skin. Not useless as is - I occasionally see somebody looking for the cables or guides and entire cartridge would probably be easier.

After owning my 74 Duster360 with factory sunroof, for over 30 years, I had to have a block made, in order for the sunroof to work. The handle screws onto a gear that sets into a block with the two cable running on the outside. Over time, the block will "wear" - not huge amount, but JUST ENOUGH that the gear from the handle, does not engage into the cables enough - it is enough to open and "move" the sunroof, but then you have issues trying to close the sunroof - I did the old, stick my hand into the back and push the sunroof panel, trick, to close it. After much searching, no way to find an NOS piece . . .ended up going to local machine shop - and it is was $500 spend for the block - but it cured the problem !!! . . . I had put a post up on here about getting "many" made, would have brought the price down a bit, but there was no response . . . somewhere I still have "new" weatherstrip for the sunroof too . . . . I sold the car 3.5 years ago . . . . kinda miss it now and then . . .

a12 rag buddy of mine in Ontario also had a 1974 Duster 360 Four speed in Green. It was a fun car I rebuilt the four speed in it for him. It also had a snorkel Scoop on the hood that he painted and put on. I believe he ended up sealing the Sun Roof because of the leaks likely from beating the car every weekend at the local drags. I have wondered were if went after he sold it in the 80s.

The Duster my friend owned was a great car to tool around back in the day. The only thing I did not like was the rear end. We ended up buying an early A body 8 3\4 rearend and drilling the axles for the big bolt pattern. I guess we got lucky with that never hurt anything or any studs and it had a 456 gear and ran slicks at the track.
