Hey guy's we are recovering the bucket seats on our 72 demon and one of the little push on washers that lock the medallions in place was already missing but i know i will end up wrecking one or two of them taking them off so i wonder does anyone know of a source for them? i had a pretty good look around and can't seem to find any. i may not be calling them the right thing either as i am not sure what the real name is for these little buggers! they are kind of like a push nut the the shafts are smooth with no lip or anything. any help would be great!

Ace Hardware has a good assortment available, used them for a couple of applications on our 70 Charger.

if the retainer shown [recessed "box"] will not hold due to the "grippers", as mentioned, ACE hardware has many round style of those retainers you can push on behind the "box" to retain those medallions.
you will probably need 3 hands, but will work great.

looks a lot like the round ones. problem solved my interior guy who has been doing this since the 70's dropped by to grab my seats as he lives near me took one look and says to me no worries i have a bunch of those! he calls them push ring retainers, i was looking all over for them and found a few at some local old school auto part stores but they were a bit to big same style though. thanks guys looks like i will be ok.
