I have a 408 stroker in my Duster. The first time that I really pushed it I broke the input shaft hub. Are the stock ones a weak point in a 727? What kind of horsepower are they typically good for? I'm estimating that my car in the in the 600 hp range.
I see that A&A Transmissions sells a stainless steel one and an aluminum one but they are a little on the expensive side if I don't really need one.
Thanks for any input on this!

I've seen that failure before but I don't think it's all that typical. I'd try another factory piece.

Years ago I swapped a mild 360 in place of the 225 in my 72 Swinger. Both had 904 type trans behind them so I reused the original driveshaft.
One of the first times I drove it I was in stop and go traffic and whe nI took off the weld on the front of the driveshaft failed. and the yoke parted company from the tube. Once I got it home and inspected things I found the weld had cracked about 2/3's of the way around, rust line evidence and the 225 didn't have enough to finish the job, but the 360 did.
I suspect you had an existing issue the stroker pointed out for you.
As John said, use another factory one, maybe have it magnifluxed for piece of mind.
