They discontinued these RWL tires a few years ago, now it appears they are making them again. And in a good size, 295 50 15. Has anyone ordered a set of these yet? Any reviews? Sorry if this was brought up already, I must have missed it.

Great looking tire. I wish it was taller than its 26 inches though. 325 50 15 is equal to old school N50. Awesome looking tire though. (Black wall drag radials avail in 325 15 but I like RWL)

I ran N50's in the back of my 64 300 years ago. They were something else in the rain.

A 295/50/15 IS a great size, diameter calculates out at 26.6 so while it is a bit short it's not horrible.

Won't fit under an E body without offsetting the springs and/or trimming/rolling the lips.

Will fit under a lot of B bodies though!

Definately a tire for looks only. Rock hard long wearing. But they were cheap!!! Under $70 a piece in the 80s. Formula 1 Superstock, Pro Trac
and Kelly Supercharger come to mind. I like RWL tires. They really are the look of the hot street car.

They have 275 60 15's and 255 60 15's. Nice combo for front and rear for my Bee. Was ready to buy the Mickey Thompson Sportsman RWL but now. . . . . . . Just for something different than the BFG Radial TA's. May just consider these Indy 500 Firehawks.

THAAAATS GREAT!!!! those are the ones on my car ( 255/60-15 ). It has being at a body shop since 6 years now and I hope rubber is still in good conditions! If not, is good to know they are back to replace.

I have them on my '71 and have been happy with them. I find it odd that Walmart shows these as available on their website, but Firestone's own website doesn't show them. I tried finding them by size, both 255's and 275's, at firestone.com and there were no tires listed in those sizes.

Ive run N50 SS Mickeys on the 65 for 10 years My son ran the ones that looked like I tread. Both were decent in the rain.Only thing that wasnt very good were the M&Hs he nhad.More like a slick for street.Still have the Mickeys on the 65.probally replace them as tread is great but getting cracks in the side walls.Rocky

Doesn't look like Firestone is making those again.
The tires might be new, as in never used and stored in a clean, controlled location. But no evidence they are current production.

They are in the same use catagory as BFG radial T/As. Slightly better compound. Good for hard use on bad roads. I don't think they are really comparible to M/T Sportsmans.

If they are all by the same seller then most likely leftovers. I don't see anything about them on their website, or Tire Rack.com.

You can ask for the manufacture date on the sidewalls and see how old they are.

I did from an E-Bay seller. 11-2018.

I called Priority Tire out of Texas and he said these are brand new production tires dated 11-2018

I did find it curious they are not on Firestones site as well so I called my local Firestone dealer and he knows nothing about them. He then called Firestones warehouse and they knew nothing about them either. Weird. I may just stick with the Mickey Thompson Sportsmens RWL.

I wonder if they are something like a Coker repop? I looked at Coker's site and found nothing, but I don't know anyone else making older tires.

I like the look/font of the RWL... but when I see the name Firehawk...my mind goes directly to Pontiac... ugh

IMHO these are the best looking tire once installed... squared shaped once installed instead bubble shaped. And being on tropic and with bad quality roads down here, the harder compound makes it more durable
