Are there any differences in the big block engines that went into motor homes in the early to mid 1970s (particularly the 400 c.i. engines) compared to those that went into cars?

I always just see 413s and 440s and motorhomes when it comes to mopar big blocks. I dont know what all the differences are but Ive taken several from motorhomes and put in cars as long as they didnt have the funky cooling system on them. Everyone ive found looked very low mileage and was in excellent shape when tore down. The transmissions ive seen all had the short tailshaft but finding a car 727 is easy anyways.

Same engines no magic there.
sometimes funky cooling but usually just a stock 440 or 400 and often the short shaft tranny. you can change the output shaft and tail stock.
