Yes, it can be made, however, usually simplest way to get a decent result is to use an original to make a mold, and then take a copy from the mold. Can't believe under any circumstance that would be cheaper. I guess you have checked any applicable junk yards, across the country for a used part?
Are you confident the old one can't be repaired, FG is fairly forgiving if you have enough original pieces.
It you just need a cover, and looks are of little importance, forget everything above.
Good Luck.

Just fix the one you have...if it is mostly there, you can patch it up, sand it and then you are back in business. Or check the motorhome salvage yards and see if they have one from one that was wrecked.

I have never done any fibreglass work before... I'd never done fiberglass either, until I got several $3,000+ labor quotes to replace the fuel tank in my boat (cut the deck, etc...). Certainly there is a market for highly skilled fiberglass guys, but unless that door/cover has something that's real intricate about it, I think a mechanically incline person, with patience, can pull it off. It may not look as good as a pro would do, but it'll be good enough. Read up, watch a bunch of you tube videos, and get after it. I'm sure Doc could lend plenty of advice also...

FM ... really - any person that can mix up a pot of resin and cut some matt and cloth and properly soak it should be about to fix it. This restro doesn’t have to be pretty because I would advise covering the outside with some lite carpeting AND covering the inside with some silver reflecting insulation.... 1400$ for a new one ? ![eek eek](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/eek.gif) ..... even if you don’t want to tackle this project -/ any person that done INTERIOR BOAT fiberglass work can handle this.

Is the item stressed in use? A Corvette body shop could knock that out as a repair, if you could get them interested. Just need to know how to maintain its dimensions, which is doable. You will not IMO be spending $1400 for new one. ![up up](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/custom/thumbs_up.gif) Probably a few members here that could handle it.

I can't really tell what I'm looking at. Not familiar with the west coast door reference. Is that an exterior piece? I'm used to the "van camper" thing. Obviously this is on the bigger units.
There are several water jet shops, around here, that could duplicate something like that. No idea the cost though.
I have mechanical Aptitude. I can screw up anything.
