can any one recommend a good source, or formula, for the factory turquoise on a 68 440 ?
i am looking for a "show car" type of finish, but the color must be pretty close. spray bomb, can, or formula will do.
TIA up

Dupli Color DE1619. is a very good match, and covers nice.

Wish I could tell you. I painted mine a year ago, and it's been covered up, waiting for the body to be completed.

Looks a bit blue, but that's shop lightning, the camera, then on our screens. Can't go by how it looks here, need to see it in person.

Most of what's out there is close enough, they were not all the same when new, remember back in the mid 70's had a flange crack on dads 67 NY, took one off 67 Polara we had for parts, guess what, different colors, both had factory paint on them.

Roger Gibson Restoration, you can(pun) get it in pint and quart cans ready to shoot. Did my '68 Road Runner engine with it.

Por 15 makes engine paint that matches the mopar cans near perfectly... but it lasts much longer and looks a lot better.

I used Mopar Performance spray can turquoise on the last couple, it worked out pretty well. Color is hard to tell from a picture online, you kinda need to get some a shoot a little test panel to see if you like it. My first shot looks too green and my second shot looks too blue, but to me in person it looks just right.

Is excessively cold weather bad for paint? It won't go air so it will be ground shipping in a stone cold truck for days. Might want to see if it's ok first???

Auto paint doesn't like temps under 40F. Not sure about rattle cans, but I always heat them in hot water before using them unless they're already above 70F.

Aftermarket "Chrysler Turquoise" varies so much that there's actually a Krylon match for whatever was used on my current project; it's just slightly bluer than my old MP paint, but looks legit.

Another vote for Bill Hirsch. Not cheap but lasts for years and cleans up well too after getting oil stained, etc.
