Well, yesterday I decided to do a little work on the Bee.

I had been having some trouble with the ignition system for awhile now..

Long story which I wont get into but I decided to remove the whole electronic ignition and go back to the original point ignition system temporarly.

Anyway I had 2 from the wires from the electronic distributor feed though 2 blank ports on the 3 speed wiper motor plug on the firewall block. Well I remove the 2 wires with no problems. So I decided to take a drive.. Great! Hey??? whats that smell? Oh Crap!!! So I pull the Bee back up in the driveway, open the hood and see smoke over on the drivers manifold. @$#**&%@^#!!!!!! I forgot to plug the wiper plug back in the firewall block!!! The wiper plug was melting on the manifold!

I really feel dumb!! Now, after I stopped saying some choice words in my driveway for all my neighbors to hear, I assesed the damage..

In looking at it, the plug is melted but the wires for the wiper are okay. Also the 2 black wires and funny looking 2 pronged plug for the neutral safety switch /reverse light are melted as well.

Anyone know where I could get these pieces to fix this? The blade connectors will just pop right out and go out into a replacement plug. But I have no idea whould have these pieces.

Man that totally sucks! I hope all the damage was limited to just this harness

Allen Here's a novel idea, let's not throw a bunch of parts at the car hoping it will fix the problem and instead spend a little time diagnosing it first. Life was a little easier when I was just a wrench.
