What car are you referring to? I have pictures of an original 70 Challenger.

Thanks, I also located what is left of the old one. Obviously it is nothing like the repros it is all one piece board/insulation and the board part of it is more of a thick roofing felt type of a material and it actually extents out over the inner wheel wells behind the seat. Maybe there is some markings of the bracing on one side or the other. My 74 Charger has the thick roofing felt type material on the interior wheel wells (black), the lining of the sail panels and the roof (brown paper like covering). I'll post a photo showing the sail panel and the wheel well piece. Also photoof a template I made of sail panel insulation. I do not remember my divider having the insulation on the divider panel. I have another 74 Charger I'll look at this morning. I'll also post a better photo of the insulation on the wheel well. By the way, the templates worked great for the sail panel insulation board. Thanks for the pictures. I'd be interested in one of your old sail panels. Never seen those. Here's a few more photos from my 74 Rallye Charger. The first two show the composition of the old sail panel insulation board. They have a thick paper board on the back, a tar composition in the middle and a thin paper on the top and is fragile due to age. The 3rd photo shows the wheel well sound insulation on the wheel well that I believe was referred to in the original post about at the sides of the trunk divider board. It is about 0.125" thick, asphalt/tar paper composition and about 24" long and 3.5 inches wide. Also fragile, hence the duct tape holding it together It's put on wheel well with rope caulk. It's the first time this car is apart. I could not find any reproductions of these panels so I made my own and kept the templates I made from the originals. My panels I made from my templates fit perfectly (better than the sagging originals). My other Charger has the divider board and if I can, I'll remove the rear seat to see if it has insulation. It's right at 32 degrees out (car is outside) but I do want to answer the question asked as posted by 340Cpe. Terry

I pulled the rear seat out of my other 74 Charger and the divider is not insulated and it does not have the insulation covering the wheel wells. I did find the broadcast sheet for a 73 WP Charger with M code engine under the seat though. I suspect the interior was changed out because it does not have the 74 seat front seat belts and it has a front bench seat with armrest. Sorry I could not help you 340Cpe. I will be insulating my trunk divider also and will be facing it toward the seat back. Terry
