Looks like my Buddy Dave Hall went a few rounds in the gambler race, unfortunately he and Larry Gilley another bud met in the 1st round.

Gilley and Hall in Rd1 - I guess they don't go E/No-E in the Gambler's?

Nope all against all! I was lucky enough to make it to the final last year and almost pay for the whole trip. 8 rounds last year which was somewhere between 129 - 264 cars, which IIRC was about 200 cars in it. This year it was a 7 rounder so no more than 128 cars. So may not be as many cars there or racers just not running it this year. That race is run by the track. It is too bad they don't run it on Saturday late afternoon as well but they are trying to get people over to the Cannery.

That was about it for this event in the past especially for a Saturday.
As I said earlier they are wanting people to head over to the Cannery for Saturdays concert and festivities. Kicking myself for not making it this year. They had another gambler race late today which would have maybe made the trip that much more worthwhile.

Must be windy there as Q16 is running 1/8th mile today. Live timing shows no wind.

I'm about 150 miles south of the track and in the last 45min we've dropped 15 degrees and the wind kicked up to 25-30mph.

It is a little windy here in Nor Cal as well, but I think I am going to go take the Harley for a quick spin.
Look to see how far Glen Shierholt makes it he seems to do well there each year, he is the brother of Jerry who I bought my Challenger 6 years ago. His 72' Cuda and my Challenger were built together and are almost identical other than the bodies.
Also look to see Dave Hall do well he is one of my racing bud's from here and he is tough to beat!

Thanks for the props guys... That was my first ever paycheck and I was bouncing off the walls..

and yes it was windy.. gusting to over 60 mph.. in the finals for pro and s/p, dropped to the 1/8th mile for safety..

Yet the wind didnt bother me.. first I was too slow and also just rebuilt the front end and got a killer alignment that really made driving the car effortless...
