Has anyone made a sumped gas tank useing a stock charger gas tank ?
i tried it and it seams to be a waste of time since the sump is higher than the fuel if you weld it at the rear of the tank .
this is because of the cheese wedge design of the tank .the fuel flow seams to be eratic at best . Any thoughts or experiances here ? is there a better way ?
thanks

thanks [/quote We have done it by starting at the low area towards the front of the tank, extending the sump back level and extend the sides down to meet the sloped portion of the tank. The sump ends up about 14" long with two 1/2 outlets.I looks like it was an original part of the tank. We have done a few B-body tanks.
