what where the wheel options for the 73/74 Plymouth Road runners? I know about the obvious rallye wheel and the magnums. car in question is a one owner car and the owner purchased the car with the 14" rallyes, now the owner now wants to change out the 14" to something that will fill up the wheel wells, Mainly looking for something in a 15" rim he does not like the new age tires of 17"18". the owner really likes the look of the rallye rim but is willing to entertain after market rims but is not sure what would look best on the car so any pictures you can post of both style rims would be wonderful and yes to those that know of the past posts about this car, the car did not end up selling so now the original owner is looking to change the car up after 45 years of ownership

15x7.0" rallye wheels were OPTIONAL for '73

15x6.0" chrome rallye wheels (think C-body) were OPTIONAL for '74

15 x 6.5 rallyes are not that expensive or repops would keep the look but in a 15". Magnum 500's would also look good on that car.

IIRC, I had 235/60r15 on 15x7 Wheel Vintiques Rallye wheels on the front and 275/60r15 15x8 on the back of my 73 Charger.

I know it isn't what you are specifically asking about, but with the selection of 15" tires thinning, how about the 17"? rallye style wheels being sold by year 1?

Kind of spendy, but looks to me that the wider ones would sure fill that big wheel opening nicely ... and would kind of carry on the "original" look.

It takes gasoline to interest me.

I can post some pics when I get home but 235/60/15 on the front and 275/60/15 on the back. These cars have lots of room in the rear wheel wells. If you have lifted the rear suspension a bit, with a custom backspacing 10" rim, 325/50/15's can be made to fit.

OP said owner of car wants no more than a 15" rim for his Plymouth.

Here's mine with the 275/60/15's out back and 235/60/15's out front. The [censored] is lifted a bit with rearched springs.

Those cars can use a lot of tire. 245X60X15 front and 275X60X15 rear for sure. I would mount them on Torq Thrust if it was mine. A friend has a 71 Super Bee with 15X8 front and back and they fit, sorry I don't have photos.
