Since it’s not uncommon to delete the ammeter and have to add a volt gauge somewhere, here’s a solution you may not be aware of. This LED needs a 14mm hole, power, ground and it will tell you everything a volt gauge will. On my dash, i determined a voltmeter wasn’t mission critical enough to dedicate a gauge slot to, so I recently went to this LED version. As you can see in the image, it provides color and flashing feedback depending on voltage conditions, which is pretty neat. eBay link as of 12/10/18 https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F190401283689

wow! thats nice! easy to add on regular ammeter. Lebarons/Diplomats already got an integrated light indicator on ammeter to tell about voltage, with an integrated circuit board attached to the back of gauge, but this tells way more

Very slick, I've been using digital that pushes into the cigarette lighter, but this is nice. I have one of those but the ashtray door gets in the way in 5th gear. This, so far, seems like a good solution to keep it relatively in my line of sight.

I installed a 2 port usb charger in my console and it also functions as a voltmeter. Like $16 off amazon. Works great, I also have the plug into cig lighter version on my truck. Got a link? I add interesting stuff like this to my wish list.

I like those and do own one just like that. With the cig lighter in the ashtray on my car, the shifter hits the door in 5th and reverse.
