Hello community,
me and my buddy like to take part at the drag week 2019 therefore we want to organize everything as advanced as possible. As we live in Germany it needs to be organized very well and I also received lots of info from Jyrki (Flying Finns) – thanks for this!!!! The current problem for European People is the new data protective law. Due to this I don’t have Access to the hotrod.com site and no one knows how Long this will take. So far I send them mails to hotrod(at)hotrod.com and to their drag week email. No one ever responded. Do you have another idea how to contact them? Don’t want to book the Container for shipment, if I can’t get registered.
Thanks a lot! Dennis

If you show up, I promise you they will not turn someone willing to ship a car from Germany away. They have not turned anyone away yet, and They are not going to with someone committed like that.

Why don't you try and team up with someone from the States and go with them? They could supply the car and you could pay the entry fees, hotel and gas ect. It would save you both a lot of money...

Dennis, your da man! go for it! If i can support just let me know. Since i started this racing [censored] i dreamt of going to DW with my Valiant....unfortunately cost is the deal breaker for me. Who´s your trunk Monkey?
Gruss Michel Hi Michel, the other driver will be Marc "Schmalle" (lives close to the Bodensee) with a 62 VALIANT Support by Sven "Svensson" (El Cheapo) from Hamburg and Driver Jensen (Jens) from Osnabrück. He used to drive the fast A100 (still owns it). And thanks for your offer!

You mean I "rent" a car for the week? For sure would save a hell of money but wouldn´t be the same. Some friends proposed the same but I want to do it with the car I build by my own. And there are not so many C-Bodies at the week. That needs to be changed too

I read online somewhere that there is a website or an app or something that will defeat the new data protective law. Hopefully that would help. Or else give all your info to a friend in the US and have them register you. Either way, I agree with Jerico. Even if you don't get registered, just show up. You WILL get in.
You've no doubt heard that some European cars did make the DW2018 deadline due to a hold up in customs. My advise would be to ship the car WAY, WAY earlier than you think you should. Finding storage if it shows up early should not be a problem.
Good luck, see you at Drag Week!

I spent around $5000 Canadian for the week between towing to the event, gas, food and hotels.

David is very busy on other projects and I think his role in Drag Week is not much more than announcing. I would try to contact Phillip Thomas at Hod Rod who is also on Facebook.
