On the 360 stock car, my racing partner who was driving reported it. It is a stock unit & I'm sure due to be gone thru but if a band adjustment would be a likely culprit I will do that. Thank you for your time.

It's done rebuild it. The beginning of the end. On the 2-3 shift the band comes off and clutch pack applies. The clutch pack is late to come on. No adjustment will fix it now. Either burnt and won't grab, too wide of clearance, worn seal rings, or bad lip seals on clutch drum.

If you don't believe me keep pounding on it, it will get worse quickly.

hi
might be able to run it a wile if you check front band adj and turn up line psi 2 turns .

if this does not help it will need to be rebuilt .

That's always been smoked clutches in my drag car...drop the pan, and I'd bet you find clutch-material stew...

Did it have a manual valve body or throttle pressure linkage? The high clutch is slipping. Lack of pressure is the most likely cause. Broken/worn seal rings on the reaction support, cut piston seal in the high clutch, no throttle pressure linkage.

throttle pressure. The eng has to come out so I will go ahead & pull both.
