The passenger side is currently on the backside of the engine boss and I'm thinking it needs to be moved to the front. Wouldn't moving the bracket to the front of the boss move the motor further to the rear? Something sure sounds wrong. may the brackets aren't right? can you post some pictures?

Not sure what set-up that is, but you simply cannot move the bracket to the front as the lugs are different sizes. My guess... that is so the bracket can only be installed one way. Might be your brackets are wrong as mentioned above.

The brackets look correct. Maybe look to see if there's another hole in the frame (where the biscuit bolts in)
It's hard to see in your pics, but are your brackets slotted (like the ebay set) where the biscuit bolts to them?

Just thinking out loud but is it possible that something ain't right on the trans mt end that is pulling the eng/trans (& the rubber showing) rearward?

Just thinking out loud but is it possible that something ain't right on the trans mt end that is pulling the eng/trans (& the rubber showing) rearward? I'll take a look tomorrow. I remember when I replaced the mounts years ago, (10+ years) I fought the transmission mount and passenger engine mount for a bit trying to line everything up better. Obviously it's been ok for years but, since I'm swapping the motor now I figured it's as good a time as any to try to make it as good as I can. I'll update you when I get time to put eyes on it again. Thanks for the input guys. Much appreciated. -Trent
