Maybe a Bowl Hog would be a better tool for removing those lips instead of doing it by by hand work scope

Don’t know what a bowl hog is but hand blending is working really well,aluminum is cutting like butter :-)

It is a tool designed to cut under the valve seats when you swap to bigger valves and valve seats up scope
I have learned the hard way on using carbide cutters on aluminum to be very careful with them up

Be sure & round the edge on that short side that you cut straight

It’s not as straight as it looks,also this picture was taken after a minute or two of grinding,I thought it really showed the lip.

I ordered more cutters(different shapes) and sanding rolls last night to pretty it all up.


I am a little nervous about cutting so close to the seats,hope that doesn’t bite me.
