I would not do either one. Go to www.bigblockdart.com and look at the tech pages for building youro own DC k-member. You will have to mod the spool K for the Schumacher mounts anyway. All you will need to buy is a pair of 74-78 pass car big block mounts (probably $50).

If it were me,I'd use a motor plate and a spacer on the crank pulley and be done with it.
Nautilus Racing- We use Superformance gaskets and Turbo Action converters/products.

By the time you get done cutting the driver side saddle of and driling a new hole, thus making installation of the engine more difficult since it will not just drop into the slot anymore you haven't saved yourself any time.....
