I have a forged 6.1 hemi crank that had a spun #8 bearing, it measure around 52.5mm at the lowest point, should be about 54mm. Rest of the journals are good, probably just needs polished.

Not some expensive part, so not sure it's worth the hassle. But what's a price range to have it repaired? I can get one from chrysler for around 600, last used one I paid under 400 shipped. But can't seem to find any used now when I need one.

At the shop I use it would be $250 to 300. The the crank has to be ground after welding because it moves around too much to just grind the one journal and polish the rest. You could grind the rods to 2" sbc or 1.88 Honda size journals and not weld it.

I saw some websites online that priced it at 75 weld/grind a journal, didn't realize they'd all needed to be reground. Sounds like for the cost, better off getting another crank. But may look into having the journals resized for a future build. This one, looking more to keep it using factory parts.

Pretty sure you can use a 5.7 crank. Just change over the tone wheel if using an early one.

If you can buy under size rod bearings for that crank I would have all the rod journals ground down and then run the new bearings work scope up

If it was just a spun bearing and not too bad, I would just get it machined and new bearings... but this ones beyond that.

A 5.7 crank will fit and would work, except different bob weight and cast. By the time I buy one, pay to get it balanced, doesn't really save me much and I end up with a cast crank.
