I’m installing 15x7 black vintique steel rims on my roadrunner convertible clone and need to know what backspacing to go with. They have 4.25 or 3.75, which should I go with?

I’m also installing the firestone wide oval radials on it as well.

OK, I am NOT a wheel expert, but I have run various wheels on my 70 Roadrunner over the years. For maximum tire width in the back (stock leaf spring location), 4-5/8" backspacing was right on the ragged edge....so I'd say 4.25" for the back + whatever is closest to stock for the front (not sure what stock backspacing is).

3.75" if only going with the 15"x7" wheels. 4.25" back space if you are going to go with a wider 15"X8" wheels. Here is a 15"X8" with 4.25" on the back of my Charger with wider 295/50/15 tire though.

All the factory 15x7 wheels are 4.25 backspacing.

If the car in your pic has factory 15x7 wheels on it and that's the look you want, then that's what you need.

Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol
