There are two fuel pump rebuild kits shown for my Mallory pump, one says for gas the other for alcohol. My gas is e10, so should I use the alcohol kit to be safe? I don't see any options for the regulator kit, just one kit that doesn't say for one fuel or the other.

And here come the anti-alcohol wackos! Carrie Nation lives!

There is hardly a place in the US where you can buy fuel that DOESN'T contain 10% ethyl alcohol so I'd say use the gasoline kit. However if you are going to use methanol or E85 I'd opt for the alcohol kit.

e10, or e15 if that ends up replacing it. I know that's enough ethanol to mess with older fuel systems left sitting around with it. What I don't know is if the fuel being passed through the pump can have an effect on the components too.

Anyone else got a thought on this? If there is no reason not to go with the alcohol kit even if my fuel is mostly gasoline, that's what I plan to get.
