Is it a true statement, that if I wanted to add an air grabber to my 69 Roadrunner with it's original non air grabber hood all I would need is the air grabber vented scoops and the fiberglass under hood box along with an air cleaner assembly and cable? My original hood appears to have the holes for the fiberglass box and don't want to do any drilling. Thanks.

Same hood. Remove the blank inserts, bolt in the screens . Boxes mount with a combination of wide pop rivets and bolts with clips. All holes are already there, no paintwork needed.

That's great. I've had a couple of 69 RR air grabber cars in the past and it sure looked like it would work. Does anyone repop those screens or duct work needed?

I have put an airgrabber on a non-airgrabber car. It is easy. Sort of a fun project.
Moparplus.com, plus a few others sell the screens and gaskets.
Remember that you will need to do a 3-speed wiper motor if you haven’t got one already, and the real key there is the crank off the motor and the switch in the dash.
The rivets should be used, screws don’t look right, but they are easy to find. Ace Hardware has some that are a pretty good approximation of the original wide flange rivets. (Only certain fastening points use the rivets, so you have to look at a pic to figure which).
Finally, remember that the air cleaner base is different for a 383 versus a 440.

One more comment. I can speak first hand on this, but some people have said that the reproduction duct work doesn’t fit as well as original Mopar. What I did was find an original Mopar unit and then fixed a few cracks on it and painted it to look fresher and stock. There is a guy on Facebook out of Ohio that restores original duct work, just do a search on Air Grabber restoration. He does quite a few and might be able to help you.

It's been awhile but I think the 68 underhood bracing has to be lightly modified to fit the Air Grabber. 69 hoods will work without modification.

That's what I remember on the underside. Now that I think about it the 68 hoods did not have the outer skin scalloped either. So if you have a 68 hood you have to take a whiz wheel to the outer skin as well.
