He hit the water at 120+ mph and the car went sideways, then started rolling. Plastic body parts were flying every which way. My daughter asked me, "Is he dead?" He walked away and it took a year to rebuild the car. Then back to the track! R.

About 10 mi. from home on the busiest 2 lane road in our area, someone turned across in front of him. Hit head on and ejected his wife out of the car. She didn't make it. They had their "stock factory" seat belts on. It makes you stop and think about our older cars and how safe we really are inside of them...

I have a 71 challenger convertible and it is getting Sebring seats with the integral seat belts so I can have a shoulder belt without major fab work. I have been in two very bad accidents and would have died in one for sure if not for wearing my seatbelt.

Unfortunately it’s an ageing facility with Armco for walls supported by wood posts that have been in the ground longer than I care to think about. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a fun track to run at as 90% of the people stay at the facility and it has a super friendly family atmosphere..... just don’t mess up!
