It will work if you use my spindle sleeve and seal package.

AndyF (AR Engineering) makes the brackets.

What size rim would you need to use?

Most 15 inch disc brake rims fit.

I make a bracket kit to hang the early Viper calipers and 11.75 rotors onto late model drum brake knuckles. I don't know if anyone else sells something similiar or not.

Looks like I misread the orignal post.

My spindle sleeves will adapt Andy's 11.75" Viper kit to a B/E body DRUM knuckle, or his 13" Viper kit to a '70-'72 disc knuckle. He doesn't make 11.75" caliper brackets for the disc knuckle.

'73-'76 A-body drum knuckles are identical to the earlier B-body drum knuckles, except they take the larger, late model inner bearing and seal.

Sorry about that. You can return the parts I just sent you, Phil.

Stock 15" steelies and cop rims will clear but 15" Ralley's won't. It has to do with the lip on the rim interfering.

The bracket kit fits 1973 or newer drum brake knuckles. Just buy some drum knuckles from a late model A body car and bolt them on. There are posts on here every day from A body guys who want to upgrade from drum brakes to disc brakes so the drum knuckles are certainly available.

11.75 disc brake rotors fit just fine on late model drum brake spindles.

Right, Ralley's don't fit and early drum brake rims don't fit. Some of the aftermarket reproduction stuff won't fit but most late model steel rims do fit. I just assumed when I designed that kit that anyone who is putting Viper brakes on their car wasn't going to be using steel rims but I found out otherwise. Seems there are guys out there who wanted to run the Viper calipers in "stealth" mode behind factory style rims.

So I'm confused a bit (as usual) to put these on a 67 B body do I need your sleeves, new knuckles or.............?

Thanks

1973 or newer drum brake knuckles. If that is what you have on the car then just bolt on the brackets, slide on the rotors and you're done.

Yes, you can also use my spindle sleeves to install the 11.75" Viper kit on '72 and earlier B-body drum knuckles.

Hmmm!!! Your post and Andy's last post just made me realize that it might be possible to use this on an A-100 spindle (for 10" brakes) - the bolt pattern looks like the A-100 spindle (which is like the mid 60's B-body), and your sleeves will allow the installation of the 11.75" rotor.
Not sure that I would need Viper calipers on an A-100, but it's nice to know the option might be there.

So if I understand correctly - 73-76 A body drum backing plate bolt pattern is the same as mid 60's B-body 10" backing plate bolt pattern?

Thanks,
Ran

Yes, brakes are different but the balljoint and backing plate bolt pattern is the same.
