How old are your springs? I think you will be ok as they will settle a bit more, esp if they are claverts springs.

.. like most have said they should have been mounted a little further Forward. But I think you will be fine. You can rub some grease on the slider to see how far the The roller moves .I can tell you with a quality shock you will get less separation and less movement in the rear. With my setup I get less than 3/4 inch of movement on the roller now.

I agree with you... Maybe moving 1" forward the slider will be perfect. I'm running with Viking DA shocks that should provide less separation (I hope). I will rub some grease and make a movie with my GoPro camera to check the clearance and separation. I see that Calvert spring has less separation than OEM springs So I hope that slider slot will have clearance enough to keept welded in the same place. Let's check it out soon.. punkrocka

Thanks Man!

just drill a new hole 1.5"back in the rear spring segment for the centering bolt.

I have the Calvert Racing Sliders, and originally set them at 70% toward the back, and due to setteling they are now 80% back. So if your springs are new, I would take that into consideration.

They will clunk and clang on the street(with
a decent exhaust you will hear them).. anything
that isnt rubber isolated will make some noise..
if you use them they need to be cleaned and lubed
on a regular basis.. same as ladder bars or any
other parts that are steel on steel
wave
