I'd like to get rid of my arm being scalding hot any time the Texas sun shines on it while in my 'Cuda. My new [tinted] cars don't feel the same way. At the same time, I don't want a dark tint for aesthetic reasons.

Has anyone used clear ceramic tint on their car? Apparently it cuts 99% of UV rays, 60% of solar energy and 80% of infrared heat into the vehicle, which is pretty substantial. In addition, blocking the UV is like putting sunscreen on your dash, seats, etc..nice!

I am curious if anyone has installed this on their car and what their thoughts were? Did you do the windshield as well?

Clear ceramic tint? If this is for real, I'll be all over it. ESPECIALLY the windshield.
I recently put tint on my laundry room window and am real satisfied with the results.

I wonder if you would end up with distortion. On the side glass it won't matter much but it could be a real issue on the windshield.

I have tinted (20%) ceramic tint on a Brand X ride from the early 200's. The tint is probably 5 years old, and the 2nd tint job (bought the car new). I can't speak for the clear, but the difference really was dramatic with the 20% ceramic film over the previous non-ceramic. Not only does it pass Goody's arm test, but coming back to the car after an hour in the sun, the AC catches up much more quickly. Not TX heat (and moskeeters), but I'm talking 95+ ambient air temps

Thanks for the feedback, I'll see what I can dig up on the windshield. Apparently it is "invisible"

I think it's similar to what they're putting on the paint these days as a protective coating.

I've never seen any film that was perfect enough to put on the windshield. Even the ones that are close the second I'd notice something to indicate that it's there that would grab my attention like a magnet and bug the hell out of me.
