I picked 3 that are "close", but keep in mind, that shade value/primer base can alter a color slightly, buy the minimum you can and do a spray out to see if it's what you want... I'm leaning towards Boss Yellow with a dark primer/shade value 4-5

Is there a reason you are forced to use only this supplier?

I absolutely love Bahama Yellow and would hate to see it not as intended.

I'm sure he'd be your bestest friend if you bought him all the "correct" Bahama Yellow paint and supplies you feel he needs for HIS "intended" paint project... smile

Just being frugal. I may go with the correct color...I was just seeing what others thought. Thanks Dayclona for your choices.

No problem Dayclona, last I checked we were posting on the “Restoration” site, where correct should be considered. But you’re correct, it is HIS project and hes welcome to paint it with anything he likes

If you are looking for the proper mix economically I would investigate the PPG low end single stage, I believe called shop line. As of about 4-5 years ago they could mix EL5 in this but for some reason did not have the code for the high end single stage.

I have sprayed Nason Single Stage Urethane Bahama Yellow a couple of times. Price should be right in line with the TCP Global stuff and you will get the actual color you want. Absolutely no need for base clear if you are looking to save money. If you want a little added depth of shine/gloss, you can use some integrated clear in the final coat but bear in mind, it will not look correct then as it will be a little too glossy versus the factory paint

Thanks for the tip....I will look into using the Nason. Still a week or two away from having it ready for color.
