Fresh built mild, 440 with stealth heads...

Planning in running Holley Sniper EFI kit

Was hoping to get first hand recommendations for intake...either single plane or dual

Thank You

I'm assuming that this 440 is going in a '68 Charger.

#1 would be the Edelbrock Performer RPM which is ideal for a mild street 440., even a not-so-mild one. But will it fit under your hood?
#2 would be the Holley Street Dominator. It's shorter than a Perf RPM and is favorite manifold for many.
#3 would be an Edelbrock Performer. Despite the naysayers, this intake suits about 85% of the cars for which it was designed. It is also relatively short and easy to find. It won't turn in the maximum hp as the two above, but it will match or beat them in torque from 0 to the torque peak, which is where most engines spend the majority of their time.
#4 would be the Edelbrock CH4B which may be #3 if it were still in production, but it's been OOP for probably 30 years.

Any other suggestions have to come from other people.

R.

Do you have an intake on the engine now? If so, just use it. Otherwise I agree with dogdays. A Performer RPM or a Holley Street Dominator.

Would a Sniper EFI setup be "happier" (or more effective) on a single-plane intake or a dual-plane? I suppose I'm thinking in terms of fuel distribution...

Stock hood you say? Definitely use the Holley Street Dominator.

Use a single plane for sure with port injection but throttle body should be similar to carb since the fuel is sprayed above the throttle blades.

I used a Performer RPM with my Sniper and it seemed to work just fine. I'm going to try a Trick Flow intake next.
