One just fell in my lap, are these a good intake for a street/strip car? Where do the fall in line as compared to the better similar application SB intakes available?
The 340 Torker is an abortion in the enth degree. The Torker II is a different animal and works much better. I prefer the results of the RPM, Airgap or even teh LD340.

I was NOT happy with the one I ran for a short time. And I had MANY intakes to compare it to

I really don't have anything to compare it to as I had to use one as it was the only performance intake that would fit using the stock AC..... It was either this single plane or a regular performer intake and that would have strangled my combo for sure......... It seems to have quite a bit of plenum area and provides plenty of upper rpm power. It is a bit soggy down low but not too bad. I run a 390 stroker in a 4140LB 83 Cordoba with me in it and my best time was 13.2@105mph... TBF

The majority of your street/strip oriented crowd will say the Air gap intake is your best choice, good low end from its dual plane design with still enough plenum and runner volume to run well up top.
Torker 2 is a single plane intake, so expect a little less low end, but maybe a bit more up high depending on if the engine combo can use the bigger intake.
Depending on what its going on, it might not be the best intake available, but If one fell into my lap, I would probably use it.
