what was the most common thing that you had to change after swapping from a 550'ish horsepower small block and 904 to a 600'ish Big block and 727 in a 2900 pound ladderbar suspended a body, car was pretty well dialed in with the SB with Holts doing the work but I have not had the oportunity to get it back to them for a suspension tune up, and I know it has better than a 1.38/1.39 60 ft time in it,and Monster Mopar at Norwalk is coming up fast, more info available if needed.

Swapped a 904 for a 727, hung a few hundred pounds on the nose and gained 50HP. Probably slowed the car down. I wouldn't be surprised if it was more than a tenth or two.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

Hanging weight on the nose didn't help but it has less to do with suspension tuning, and more to do with the loss of transmission efficiency and the extra weight, eating up more than the extra 50HP.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was more than a tenth or two. actually it picked up about a tenth in both the 1/4 and 1/8 mile I think it still has another tenth in it just in tuning the engine and suspension but this hot sloppy weather is not making it easy to extract that out of it,, it's been about 3 years since the rear suspension has been touched and installed a QA-1 tubular K frame when the motor was installed a little over a year ago and just have not been able to get it out as much as I had hoped between job changes and my heart attack 2 months ago.

Bill why don’t you give Holt a call and he may be able to give you some suspension tips to get you through the race season then take it in to have him fine tune it this winter.

I would start where it is now, and see what it will do. More torque may need tighter shock settings in back. That would be my guess. How much torque do you think you gained at stall speed? It also may be possible it needs to hit the tire a touch harder since you added significant wieght to the front. I agree that a talk with your chassis guy is in order, along with some videos to help sort this out.
