I have seen the mid side trim on majority of them But how about a thinner side trim on the upper part of the body?

Sounds like a '66 Belvedere Satellite?

There was only one side molding style on 66 Belvedere II;s, wide moldings down the center of the length of the car. The upper body line trim, tops of fenders, doors, quarters, etc. was the 1966 Satellite only.

Also, don't confuse 66 with 67 BelvedereII's, the cars look similar but have totally different trim.

Car is being advertised as a 66, all original, one repaint, 383 4 speed bench seat. I'm waiting to see a fendertag picture. Could you have ordered the car side trim delete??

No side trim delete. If they're not on the car, they were removed, and the mounting holes along the length of the body welded or filled. Sight down the sides carefully and see if they're wavy.

Ugh, first my friend is told that there was a thin side moulding on the car which now turns out to be a black pin stripe, now he is being told the fendertag says the interior was originally tan, but dealer back then had car pulled from assembly line and turned over to black... (I call BS) cars exterior color seems right with a RR1 code for paint, car looks like a pale yellow.

The side moldings were a one year only piece and can be difficult to find. So if the car ever go wrecked or repainted it likely had them removed then.

Peter, is this the car? This one is on Facebook.
My wife found it and wanted me to look at it... A Look led to a call. Seller/owner sounds nice enough. According to the seller NO evidence of any trim ever down the side OR even when you look in the trunk on the quarter panels, I've asked for pictures, I'm still waiting for them.
Says he has had it at Carlisle the last few years, Car has won multiple trophies.....He mentioned that last year the car won the Carlisle Celebrity award last year?
After I asked him about the side trim he mentioned that he came across another belvedere last year at Carlisle and that one had no side trim either, The car was a original Hemi car that the current owner said he bought it from his cousin, who ordered the car new and that is how he ordered it with no side trim?...I understand those are his words and he is trying to sell a car BUT he seemed sincere enough

Peter, Going with what ALaskan and Scott have posted you can be rest assured that there words and information are Golden... Topside too, BUT then again, it was Ma Mopar and ya never know...right?

Hodge podge of parts. 66 tail lights, Belvedere I trunk lid, side moldings removed and appears to have a pin stripe or aftermarket trim added. Fender em lem looks goofy as well, maybe an alarm key added behind it?

I rather like the de-trimmed look and especially on a HT, but no way is that restored to stock/original.
I'd bet there's zero documentation of the car being the kind of super-special-build-mine-different-from-every-known-example car the seller's claiming...
